Auto-Tune — one of modern history’s most reviled inventions — was an act of mathematical genius.
The pitch correction software, which automatically calibrates out-of-tune singing to perfection, has been used on nearly every chart-topping album for the past 20 years. Along the way, it has been pilloried as the poster child of modern music’s mechanization. When Time Magazine declared it “one of the 50 worst inventions of the 20th century”, few came to its defense.
But often lost in this narrative is the story of the invention itself, and the soft-spoken savant who pioneered it. For inventor Andy Hildebrand, Auto-Tune was an incredibly complex product — the result of years of rigorous study, statistical computation, and the creation of algorithms previously deemed to be impossible.
Hildebrand’s invention has taken him on a crazy journey: He’s given up a lucrative career in oil. He’s changed the economics of the recording industry. He’s been sued by hip-hop artist T-Pain. And in the course of it all, he’s raised pertinent questions about what constitutes “real” music.
The Oil Engineer
Andy Hildebrand was, in his own words, “not a normal kid.”
A self-proclaimed bookworm, he was constantly derailed by life’s grand mysteries, and had trouble sitting still for prolonged periods of time. School was never an interest: when teachers grew weary of slapping him on the wrist with a ruler, they’d stick him in the back of the class, where he wouldn’t bother anybody. “That way,” he says, “I could just stare out of the window.”
After failing the first grade, Hilbrebrand’s academic performance slowly began to improve. Toward the end of grade school, the young delinquent started pulling C’s; in junior high, he made his first B; as a high school senior, he was scraping together occasional A’s. Driven by a newfound passion for science, Hildebrand “decided to start working [his] ass off” -- an endeavor that culminated with an electrical engineering PhD from the University of Illinois in 1976.
In the course of his graduate studies, Hildebrand excelled in his applications of linear estimation theory and signal processing. Upon graduating, he was plucked up by oil conglomerate Exxon, and tasked with using seismic data to pinpoint drill locations. He clarifies what this entailed:
“I was working in an area of geophysics where you emit sounds on the surface of the Earth (or in the ocean), listen to reverberations that come up, and, from that information, try to figure out what the shape of the subsurface is. It’s kind of like listening to a lightning bolt and trying to figure out what the shape of the clouds are. It’s a complex problem.”
Three years into Hildebrand’s work, Exxon ran into a major dilemma: the company was nearing the end of its seven-year construction timeline on an Alaskan pipeline; if they failed to get oil into the line in time, they’d lose their half-billion dollar tax write-off. Hildebrand was enlisted to fix the holdup — faulty seismic monitoring instrumentation — a task that required “a lot of high-end mathematics.” He succeeded.
“I realized that if I could save Exxon $500 million,” he recalls, “I could probably do something for myself and do pretty well.”

So, in 1979, Hildebrand left Exxon, secured financing from a few prominent venture capitalists (DLJ Financial; Sevin Rosen), and, with a small team of partners, founded Landmark Graphics.
At the time, the geophysical industry had limited data to work off of. The techniques engineers used to map the Earth’s subsurface resulted in two-dimensional maps that typically provided only one seismic line. With Hildebrand as its CTO, Landmark pioneered a workstation — an integrated software/hardware system — that could process and interpret thousands of lines of data, and create 3D seismic maps.
Landmark was a huge success. Before retiring in 1989, Hildebrand took the company through an IPO and a listing on NASDAQ; six years later, it was bought out by Halliburton for a reported $525 million.
“I retired wealthy forever (not really, my ex-wife later took care of that),” jokes Hildebrand. “And I decided to get back into music.”
From Oil to Music Software
An engineer by trade, Hildebrand had always been a musician at heart.
As a child, he was something of a classical flute virtuoso and, by 16, he was a “card-carrying studio musician” who played professionally. His undergraduate engineering degree had been funded by music scholarships and teaching flute lessons. Naturally, after leaving Landmark and the oil industry, Hildebrand decided to return to school to study composition more intensively.
While pursuing his studies at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, Hildebrand began composing with sampling synthesizers (machines that allow a musician to record notes from an instrument, then make them into digital samples that could be transposed on a keyboard). But he encountered a problem: when he attempted to make his own flute samples, he found the quality of the sounds to be ugly and unnatural.
“The sampling synthesizers sounded like shit: if you sustained a note, it would just repeat forever,” he harps. “And the problem was that the machines didn’t hold much data.”
Hildebrand, who’d “retired” just a few months earlier, decided to take matters into his own hands. First, he created a processing algorithm that greatly condensed the audio data, allowing for a smoother, more natural-sounding sustain and timbre. Then, he packaged this algorithm into a piece of software (called Infinity), and handed it out to composers.

Infinity improved digitized orchestral sounds so dramatically that it uprooted Hollywood’s music production landscape: using the software, lone composers were able to accurately recreate film scores, and directors no longer had a need to hire entire orchestras. Worst Autotune Artists 2019

Unfortunately, Hildebrand’s software was inherently self-defeating: companies sprouted up that processed sounds through Infinity, then sold them as pre-packaged soundbanks. “I sold 5 more copies, and that was it,” he says. “The market totally collapsed.”
But the inventor’s bug had taken hold of Hildebrand once more. In 1990, he formed his final company, Antares Audio Technology, with the goal of innovating the music industry’s next big piece of software. And that’s exactly what happened.
The Birth of Auto-Tune

At a National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) conference in 1995, Hildebrand sat down for lunch with a few friends and their wives. Randomly, he posed a rhetorical question — “What needs to be invented?” — and one of the women half-jokingly offered a response:
“Why don’t you make a box that will let me sing in tune?”
“I looked around the table and everyone was just kind of looking down at their lunch plates,” recalls Hildebrand, “so I thought, ‘Geez, that must be a lousy idea’, and we changed the topic.”
Hildebrand completely forgot he’d even had this conversation, and for the next six months, he worked on various other projects, none of which really took off. Then, one day, while mulling over ideas, the woman’s suggestion came back to him. “It just kind of clicked in my head,” he says, “and I realized her idea might not be too bad.”
What “clicked” for Hildebrand was that he could utilize some of the very same processing methods he’d used in the oil industry to build a pitch correction tool. Years later, he’d attempt to explain this on PBS’s NOVA network:
’Seismic data processing involves the manipulation of acoustic data in relation to a linear time varying, unknown system (the Earth model) for the purpose of determining and clarifying the influences involved to enhance geologic interpretation. Coincident (similar) technologies include correlation (statics determination), linear predictive coding (deconvolution), synthesis (forward modeling), formant analysis (spectral enhancement), and processing integrity to minimize artifacts. All of these technologies are shared amongst music and geophysical applications.’
At the time, no other pitch correction software existed. To inventors, it was a considered the “holy grail”: many had tried, and none had succeeded.
The major roadblock was that analyzing and correcting pitch in real-time required processing a very large amount of sound wave data. Others who’d made an attempt at creating software had used a technique called feature extraction, where they’d identify a few key “variables” in the sound waves, then correlate them with the pitch. But this method was overly-simplistic, and didn’t consider the finer minutia of the human voice. For instance, it didn’t recognize dipthongs (when the human voice transitions from one vowel to another in a continuous glide), and, as a result, created false artifacts in the sound.
Hildebrand had a different idea.
As an oil engineer, when dealing with massive datasets, he’d employed autocorrelation (an attribute of signal processing) to examine not just key variables, but all of the data, to get much more reliable estimates. He realized that it could also be applied to music:
“When you’re processing pitch, you add wave cycles to go sharp, and subtract them when you go flat. With autocorrelation, you have a clearly identifiable event that tells you what the period of repetition for repeated peak values is. It’s never fooled by the changing waveform. It’s very elegant.”
While elegant, Hildebrand’s solution required an incredibly complex, almost savant application of signal processing and statistics. When we asked him to provide a simple explanation of what happens, computationally, when a voice signal enters his software, he opened his desk and pulled out thick stacks of folders, each stuffed with hundreds of pages of mathematical equations.
“In my mind it’s not very complex,” he says, sheepishly, “but I haven’t yet found anyone I can explain it to who understands it. I usually just say, ‘It’s magic.’”


The equations that do autocorrelation are computationally exhaustive: for every one point of autocorrelation (each line on the chart above, right), it might’ve been necessary for Hildebrand to do something like 500 summations of multiply-adds. Previously, other engineers in the music industry had thought it was impossible to use this method for pitch correction: “You needed as many points in autocorrelation as the range in pitch you were processing,” one early-1990s programmer told us. “If you wanted to go from a low E (70 hertz) all the way up to a soprano’s high C (1,000 hertz), you would’ve needed a supercomputer to do that.”
A supercomputer, or, as it turns out, Andy Hildebrand’s math skills.
Hildebrand realized he was limited by the technology, and instead of giving up, he found a way to work within it using math. “I realized that most of the arithmetic was redundant, and could be simplified,” he says. “My simplification changed a million multiply adds into just four. It was a trick — a mathematical trick.”
With that, Auto-Tune was born.
Auto-Tune’s Underground Beginnings
Hildebrand built the Auto-Tune program over the course of a few months in early 1996, on a specially-equipped Macintosh computer. He took the software to the National Association of Music Merchants conference, the same place where his friend’s wife had suggested the idea a year earlier. This time, it was received a bit differently.
“People were literally grabbing it out of my hands,” recalls Hildebrand. “It was instantly a massive hit.”
At the time, recording pitch-perfect vocal tracks was incredibly time-consuming for both music producers and artists. The standard practice was to do dozens, if not hundreds, of takes in a studio, then spend a few days splicing together the best bits from each take to a create a uniformly in-tune track. When Auto-Tune was released, says Hildebrand, the product practically sold itself.
With the help of a small sales team, Hildebrand sold Auto-Tune (which also came in hardware form, as a rack effect) to every major studio in Los Angeles. The studios that adopted Auto-Tune thrived: they were able to get work done more quickly (doing just one vocal take, through the program, as opposed to dozens) — and as a result, took in more clients and lowered costs. Soon, studios had to integrate Auto-Tune just to compete and survive.

Once again, Hildebrand dethroned the traditional industry.
“One of my producer friends had been paid $60,000 to manually pitch-correct Cher’s songs,” he says. “He took her vocals, one phrase at a time, transferred them onto a synth as samples, then played it back to get her pitch right. I put him out of business overnight.”
For the first three years of its existence, Auto-Tune remained an “underground secret” of the recording industry. It was used subtly and unobtrusively to correct notes that were just slightly off-key, and producers were wary to reveal its use to the public. Hildebrand explains why:
“Studios weren’t going out and advertising, ‘Hey we got Auto-Tune!’ Back then, the public was weary of the idea of ‘fake’ or ‘affected’ music. They were critical of artists like Milli Vanilli [a pop group whose 1990 Grammy Award was rescinded after it was found out they’d lip-synced over someone else’s songs]. What they don’t understand is that the method used before — doing hundreds of takes and splicing them together — was its own form of artificial pitch correction.”
This secrecy, however, was short-lived: Auto-Tune was about to have its coming out party.
The “Coming Out” of Auto-Tune
When Cher’s “Believe” hit shelves on October 22, 1998, music changed forever.
The album’s titular track -- a pulsating, Euro-disco ballad with a soaring chorus -- featured a curiously roboticized vocal line, where it seemed as if Cher’s voice were shifting pitch instantaneously. Critics and listeners weren’t sure exactly what they were hearing. Unbeknownst to them, this was the start of something much bigger: for the first time, Auto-Tune had crept from the shadows.
In the process of designing Auto-Tune, Hildebrand had included a “dial” that controlled the speed at which pitch corrected itself. He explains:
“When a song is slower, like a ballad, the notes are long, and the pitch needs to shift slowly. For faster songs, the notes are short, the pitch needs to be changed quickly. I built in a dial where you could adjust the speed from 1 (fastest) to 10 (slowest). Just for kicks, I put a “zero” setting, which changed the pitch the exact moment it received the signal. And what that created was the ‘Auto-Tune’ effect.”
Before Cher, artists had used Auto-Tune only supplementally, to make minor corrections; the natural qualities of their voice were retained. But on the song “Believe”, Cher’s producers, Mark Taylor and Brian Rawling, made a decision to use Auto-Tune on the “zero” setting, intentionally modifying the singer’s voice to sound robotic.

Cher’s single sold 11 million copies worldwide, earned her a Grammy Award, and topped the charts in 23 countries. In the wake of this success, Hildebrand and his company, Antares Audio Technologies, marketed Auto-Tune as the “Cher Effect”. Many people in the music industry attributed the artist’s success to her use of Auto-Tune; soon everyone wanted to replicate it.
“Other singers and producers started looking at it, and saying ‘Hmm, we can do something like that and make some money too!’” says Hildebrand. “People were using it in all genres: pop, country, western, reggae, Bollywood. It was even used in an Islamic call to prayer.”
The secret of Auto-Tune was out — and its saga had just begun.
The T-Pain Debacle
In 2004, an unknown rapper with dreads and a penchant for top hats arrived on the Florida hip-hop scene. His name was Faheem Rashad Najm; he preferred “T-Pain.”
After recording a few “hot flows,” T-Pain was picked out of relative obscurity and signed to Akon’s record label, Konvict Muzik. Once discovered, he decided he’d rather sing than rap. He had a great singing voice, but in order to stand out, he needed a gimmick -- and somewhat fortuitously, he found just that. In a 2014 interview, he explains:
“I used to watch TV a lot [and] there was always this commercial on the channel I would watch. It was one of those collaborative CDs, like a ‘Various Artists’ CD, and there was this Jennifer Lopez song, ‘If You Had My Love.’ That was the first time I heard Auto-Tune. Ever since I heard that song — and I kept hearing and kept hearing it — on this commercial, I was like, ‘Man, I gotta find this thing.’”

All data that will be “merged” into the email is taken from an excel file. This file should be set up with headings in each column with the first column being email. So you might have columns that read Email, First Name, Surname etc. Whatever fields you have in this file are the fields you will be able to merge into your document. It is very important that you have this set up correctly with email in the FIRST column.

You would do this by dragging the relevant placeholder into the document. It will show up as <<Column Heading>> rather than the actual contents of the column but will merge together before sending and you can preview it in a later step.
*Filter recipients using the options button. You might choose to email only certain people in your Excel document. I personally don’t use this and tend to modify my Excel file rather than filter here.
*Preview your email by clicking on the <<ABC>> button under “Preview Results”. Here you can flick through each email with the arrows and it will show you how the email will display. Keep in mind that your signature will be added by Outlook. See below for more hints on this.

Download dgVoodoo2 then extract the files4. since LEGOLAND is a 32bit game what you need to do is go to the MS Folder then go to x86 then copy all dll files to where you installed LEGOLAND5. Copy dgVoodooCPL and dgVoodoo.conf to where you installed LEGOLAND6. Then go to the LEGOLAND Folder then go to dgVoodooCPL6.For General go to the Adaptars tab and select your graphics card then you go to the DirectX Tab then go to the vram tab then select 64MB then as for resolution select 640x480 then click apply then close dgVoodooCPL7. right click legoland.exe then you go to properties then go to Compatiblity mode then either set Windows 98/Windows Me Or Windows 95 since legoland was made for those 3 Windows OS (Mainly 95 and 98) then click 16 bit (65536) colour and click run this program as an administrator then click apply then press ok8. The InstallShield solution mentioned didn’t work for me. Running the seup32.exe file didn’t seem to do anything.Instead I found this which can be used to run the setup file: https://github.com/otya128/winevdm Worked for me and I was able to install and run the game in Win 10.

The Installer is 16bit which doesnt work on 64bit versions of windows 10 so you need to go and copy the contents to another folder then use the link down below to install the 32Bit installshield 3. it works for any game that uses a 16 bit installer anyways then after copy the installer to the folder you copied the contents from. then use the 32bit installer then it should work

The objective of LegoLand is to build a working theme park using rides, attractions, restaurants and landscapes from four different themes including LegoLand, castle, wild west, and adventure themes. You have to keep the guests happy and pass the inspection by the park inspector who gives you several tries to fix the things that he thinks are wrong with your park. And you have to do this while suffering ride-stealing aliens and the loss of all the money from the gate.
LegoLand is effectively a Lego version of any other theme park building game, but what makes this one different and better is that it is both geared more towards kids, and there really are LegoLand theme parks around the world. There is one in California, Windsor England, and Billund, Denmark. And what makes this game really neat for me is that one of the highlights of my youth was visiting the park in Denmark while my Dad was stationed in Germany with the Army.
There are ten levels of game play plus a tutorial and a free play map. Each of the ten levels of the game opens with three things on the map: the main gate, a mechanics hut and a greenhouse. Your job as park manager trainee is to build up the park from there. Jonathan will give you some instructions, such as to put up a power station to power your rides or to put ten trees in the western part of the park.
Yes, as you can tell there are some educational aspects to this game. Such as putting each type of tree from the castle theme into the castle section of the park and making sure you have enough rides, scenery and food kiosks. There are also traditional challenges such as designing your roller coaster track or laying out the path for the log flume, or the jungle boat ride or even my favorite - the car driving ride.Lego Builder’s Journey
I actually had a funny experience while I was at LegoLand with the car driving ride. I was in Denmark, as I said earlier, and there was this car driving ride where they would give you a driver’s license when you were done. Before you went out to your car you were supposed to grab the flag from your country so they could give you instructions in your native tongue. Well, they were out of US and British flags so these two nice British kids gave me a flag from a country they told me spoke English. I believed them because there was a small British flag in the top left corner. Unfortunately, it was the colonial flag of Hong Kong and hence my instructions were in Chinese.Lego Brawls
So there I am happily driving around waiting for my turn to get some driving instructions and my parents are watching me and laughing so hard they were crying. I can only imagine what the guy was yelling at me, probably stuff like ’if you don’t listen your not going to get your license,’ but it all worked out in the end. Well at least as far as I was concerned they game me a LegoLand drivers license. And when you complete the LegoLand game, you also get a printable award proclaiming you as the Best LegoLand Park Manager.
Overall, LegoLand is a very fun game and I highly recommend it to anyone with a Lego Maniac in their house. It combines the fun of Legos with the fun of building a theme park. And while it was developed for kids, I had a good time trying it out. It was especially nice not to have to wait until my nephews went to sleep to get to try it out.

In terms of design, Vuze XR is quite unique. It appears like a lollipop, except that the bulbous top consists of a pair of cameras that are attached to a hand grip. You can use the power button to switch from video to still image, and vice versa. When the cameras are detached from their housing, Vuze XR will turn into the stereoscopic mode. The frame is equipped with LEDs for video, photo, and live-streaming. The LEDs are pretty large and easy to see in various light conditions.
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the unit, you can find a screw-based tripod mount and a plastic door. Behind the plastic door, there is a MicroSD memory card slot and a USB Type-C port.
If we have to compare the ease of use between Vuze XR vs Insta360 Evo, we must say that Vuze XR is the better camera. The buttons are more intuitive to use, and switching between 360-degree mode and stereoscopic mode is also much easier here. Vuze XR: Image Quality
In the world of 360-degree cameras, the only competition for Vuze XR is Insta360 Evo. Both of these cameras have the capability to convert from 360-degree to stereoscopic, and both are able to shoot 18MP still images as well as 5.7K videos. That said, there is still a notable difference between them.
With Vuze XR, you can capture the scene of your surrounding with extraordinary detail and accuracy. It can capture and reproduce varying levels of brightness in the scene, from dark alleyways to the bright blue sky.
Vuze XR can also deliver outstanding shadow details. When you are shooting a subject against the setting sun, you will be surprised to find that their face is still visible and with fine details in the resulted image. This is quite an outstanding feat, though Insta360 Evo can also perform a similar feat.
However, Vuze XR clearly outshines Insta360 Evo in more challenging light conditions. Both the 360-degree and the stereoscopic shots from Vuze XR come out with better colors and detail compared to Insta360 Evo.
If you try shooting 360-degree photos and videos with both cameras in a darkened interior, you will find that both cameras struggle with grain and noise, and they both can’t deliver as much detail as when they are shooting outside. Yet, between the two, Vuze XR gives the better results. The colors are richer and less washed out.Vuze XR: Software
Now, how about the software of Vuze XR vs Insta360 Evo? Well, although Vuze XR is superior in terms of design and image quality, unfortunately its software is not as great.
The Vuze XR mobile app is available for Android and iOS devices and is quite basic. It has a home screen with three buttons for Connect, Gallery, and Settings. The buttons are quite self-explanatory. Use Connect to link your smartphone to the camera via wi-fi. Click Gallery to see the videos and photos that you have taken. In Settings, you can adjust the video and photo resolution, and choose whether you would like to live-stream to Facebook, YouTube, or Vimeo.
After recording a video, the mobile app will allow you to layer sound or voice over tracks, increase or decrease the light, and apply effects. When working on a 360-degree video, you can also choose specific areas to become the primary focus points at the start and the end of the video.
The limitation of the Vuze XR mobile app is that it can’t download or view videos and photos that are recorded in the 5.7K resolution. In order to do so, you have to use the Vuze XR desktop app. Fortunately, the company has said that they are on the work to fix the issue, so you can expect the mobile app to be updated with the vital capability soon.
The desktop app has similar capabilities like the mobile app, and it can also render files into different resolutions or format them for Facebook and Google Maps. But it also has a limitation: the desktop app can’t display your shots as scrollable 360-degree images.Insta360 Evo: Design
Unlike Vuze XR, Insta360 Evo comes in a squarish shape. It can fold in half, revealing a pair of cameras for taking 360-degree videos and photos. Each half of the unit is hinged to the top and sides of the other half.
The problem with this design is that you need to work on the latches when switching between 360-degree and stereoscopic modes. It is a little bit annoying at times.

Accessing a locked system is always a challenge. Encrypted disks and encrypted virtual machines, encrypted files and passwords are just a few things to mention. In this article we are proposing a straightforward workflow for investigating computers in the field.
Note: you may be able to perform live system analysis if the computer being investigated is turned on. Our scenario assumes that the computer is initially powered off, or powered on and locked/inaccessible.Pre-requisitesElcomsoft Password Recovery Bundle Portable Karaoke
The computer you are about to analyze is powered off. At least one available USB port. You must be able to access the computer’s BIOS/UEFI setup to enable booting from USB media.The workflow
Using Elcomsoft System Recovery, you will be able to perform a wide range of tasks. We recommend the following workflow on computers without BitLocker protection:
*Prepare ESR bootable USB drive.
*Configure target computer to boot from a USB device.
*Boot target computer to ESR.
*ESR will attempt to collect existing passwords.
*ESR will run a quick recovery attack on the system’s Windows accounts.
*Extract hashes to Windows accounts of interest (if password not discovered in previous step) for subsequent attacks.
*Extract page and hibernation files.
*Search for encrypted disks. If discovered, extract encryption metadata (you will be able to scan page/hibernation files for on the fly encryption keys).
*Search for encrypted virtual machines. If discovered, extract encryption metadata for subsequent password attacks.
*Create forensic disk images for further in-lab analysis.
*Optional: after a risk assessment, perform live analysis by resetting selected account password, booting into the main system and signing in with the newly set password.
Let’s have a closer look at this workflow.
Prepare ESR bootable flash drive
If you don’t have a bootable flash drive, create one by launching Elcomsoft System Recovery setup on your computer (not the computer being investigated) and click through the wizard. You’ll need a reasonably large and reasonably fast flash drive (32GB or larger).
Once the bootable flash drive is created, insert it to the available USB port of the computer you are about to analyze.
Prepare the target computer for booting from the USB driveElcomsoft Password Recovery Bundle Crack
Power on the computer being investigated, immediately entering BIOS setup. To enter BIOS, you will typically need to hit the Del key early during the boot stage. On some systems, you may be using the F10, F11, or F12 keys. We’ve also seen the F2 combination open the list of bootable devices; however, this combination is also system-specific.
Enable USB boot
For security reasons, most computers are configured to only boot from internal media. In order to boot from the ESR flash drive, you will need to allow the computer booting from a USB device. In order to do that, locate the appropriate setting in the computer’s BIOS (typically named as “Boot order”), add “USB” to the list of devices the computer is allowed to scan during the boot sequence, and bring that entry to the top of the list (typically using Page Up/Page Down keys).
Boot from the USB device
Save settings and exit BIOS. The computer should start booting from the USB device containing Elcomsoft System Recovery. On some systems, you may be able to select the boot device by hitting the F2 key repeatedly.
Windows account passwords: collect the low hanging fruit
Once Elcomsoft System Recovery is launched, the tool automatically scans the system for available passwords, and runs a fast pre-configured attack that may reveal weak account passwords.
Windows account passwords: extract hashes
If the tool is unable to discover passwords to all user accounts, you can extract encryption metadata (hashes) for subsequent password recovery with Elcomsoft Distributed Password Recovery.
Hibernation and page files
The hibernation and page files may contain on-the-fly encryption keys used by various disk encryption tools such as VeraCrypt, TrueCrypt, PGP or BitLocker. Extract these files and save them on external media for further analysis with Elcomsoft Forensic Disk Decryptor.
Search for encrypted disks
Disk encryption is commonly used in the criminal world. ESR can search for encrypted disks, identity protection methods and extract encryption metadata. In many cases, the encryption metadata can be used to launch a password recover attack on the encrypted disk.
If the encrypted disk was mounted immediately before the analysis, the binary on-the-fly encryption keys might be available in page or hibernation files. Use Elcomsoft Forensic Disk Decryptor to scan these files for disk encryption keys.
Search for encrypted virtual machines
Along with disk encryption tools, encrypted virtual machines are among the most common cover-up tools. Manually locating such virtual machines can be an involving and time-consuming process. ESR simplifies this task by finding many types of encrypted virtual machines automatically. Once an encrypted VM is discovered, ESR automatically saves the encryption metadata. You can use that data to launch a password recovery attack on VM encryption in Elcomsoft Distributed Password Recovery. Create forensic disk images Elcomsoft Distributed Password Recovery
When investigating incidents, you are more likely to analyze a disk image rather than a physical hard drive. Use Elcomsoft System Recovery to capture the disk image and start the analysis without the need for opening the computer and taking the disks out.
Note: you will need an appropriately sized external storage media to store the disk images.
The extra step: live system analysis
In certain cases, you may need to perform the analysis of an authenticated user session. If ESR was able to recover the original password to one of the user accounts, you may use that password to sign in. Alternatively, you can use ESR to reset the password of a Windows account. Before you do, make sure that you fully realize the consequences and perform the risk assessment.
Consequences of resetting a Windows account passwordElcomsoft Distributed Password Recovery Crack
If you choose to reset the password to a certain user, you will lose access to information protected with DPAPI (Windows Data Protection API). This information includes:
*EFS (Encrypted File System) access. Any NTFS-encrypted files will be rendered useless after resetting the account password. You absolutely need the original password to decrypt those files.
*Items stored in the Protected Storage including but not limited to: Microsoft Edge Legacy passwords; access to Google Chrome and Edge Chromium password database; passwords to network shares; passwords to email accounts.
In order to access any of that data, you will require the user’s original account password.

*Create a sequence from the clip of me talking
*Use Speed/Duration to speed up the clip 150%
*Check out the obsolete Pitch Shifter or the AUPitch effects as they tend to both work the best and not completely knock your video out of sync with its audio. NOTE: if you experience problems with audio/video sync, try a different pitch shifter. Annoying, I know, but there seems to be a mystery surrounding why this pitch shifter knocks your audio completely out of sync.
*Double note: some people documenting this issue seem to think it may have to do with the way Premiere is interpreting your audio, some think it’s a rendering issue, some say there is no issue at all, but I can’t seem to find solid info on the obvious problem and how to fix it. My fix is to just use other Pitch Shifters in Premiere.
*Play with the settings in the obsolete Pitch Shifter or AUPitch and tweak until you get a good sound. NOTE: in Obsolete pitch shifter, check the box OFF
*Use Speed/Duration to reduce clip speed to 66%
*Add Pitch Shifter and look around the 7-55 range for proper pitch. Choose the default settings and High Precision.
*Save the settings for either of these effects as a preset for quick use later.

It is a slim single tower that makes use of a slim 120 mm PWM fan, which leaves an incredible amount of room around the CPU socket for memory with tall heatsinks, even on LGA2011.
